These “Jolly Rodger” series rods are specifically made for the demands of the salt:
8’5” 2-piece construction. Long enough to comfortably cast sidearm into the wind, but not so long that the rod angle is too extreme while leadering or landing fish.
It CAN be carried on an airplane in a tube.
Carbon fiber ferrule for a smooth bend and no “flat spot” or pressure point in the middle of the rod.
Double ceramic stripping guides for better leverage fighting fish and optimized line shooting
Specialty salt-safe components and finish on the rod
Modified full-wells grip and fighting butt
Scallop hollowed for weight reduction while maintaining glue surface area and hoop strength.
‘Jolly Rodger’ Taper - It’s a line catapult with a slight hinge below the ferrule. Combined with an aggressive slope for a faster action, It’s a favorite among anglers and guides.
